    Wind River Circle
2005, river stones, steel, fallen tree, 360' diameter circle, 6' diameter sphere
Central Wyoming College, Riverton, Wyoming
At this scale, Wind River Circle, complements the landscape rather than competing with it, as it only rises on average one foot above the ground and settles one foot into it. Undulating over the uneven Wyoming landscape, it encourages viewers to walk its entire length in order to experience the progression of natural materials that share a common theme, nature and its cycles. The 6-foot diameter sphere rendered in steel 'vines' housed a ritual fire to mark Wind River Circle's rite of passage.
